Sno Shield's Pipe Diverters are used in snow retention for vent pipe and chimney protection on metal a shingled roofs. If you do not want to install snow guards the whole span of the roof, but you want to move the snow away from certain areas such as pipe vents, a pipe diverter could be the solution.
Pipe diverters do the following:
- Diverts or deflects snow and ice from vent pipes that protrude from a roof and chimneys
- Keeps the snow from ripping off stove pipe vents and other roof vents on metal roofs
- Protects bay windows that stick out beyond the eve of a roof
- Protects roof pipe up to 12" in diameter
- Snow diverters protect vents, flu stacks, stove pipes, roof jack vents (roof pipe jack) and satellite dishes too
The pipe diverter measures 18"L x 18"W x 11" H and has a 1 1/2" flange with pre-drilled screw holes. It is made from 18 gauge steel that is powder coated. No assembly is required. Pipe protectors should be installed directly on the roof and above the pipe vent or chimney. Screws and Sealant / Adhesive Tape are included in the price.
