Snow rail is a huge plus on a buildings when snow is prone to slide off the roof. Sno Shield provides a high quality snow rail that is difficult to find anywhere else.
- Made out of steel or stainless steel, Sno Shield snow rail is powder coated to create a look that is attractive and aesthetically pleasing.
- When it is impossible to use the seam of a metal roof, use the deck mount. Bolt it down into the truss or perlin of a building, or bolt it into the wood decking of the roof.
- Single bar snow rail it great for low sloped roofs and functions the best when used in light snow load areas.
In the case where a single bar snow rail might not be able to handle the amount of snow in a given area, the system can be upgraded. Sno Shield's deck mount rail system is available in a two bar or three bar system. At this point it might be called a snow fence for metal roofs.
Sno Shield's deck mount snow retention systems are strong. A great example of this is Alaska. Alaska can get heaps of snow; feet and feet of snow. Their 3 rail deck mount system has one even this battle. Granted the mounts were modified to reach an 11" height instead of the regular 8" height, but any clamp can be modified to fit the needs of an area.
The deck mount rail system is installed on a variety of roofs: metal, shingle and slate (note that a plate will be needed to install this product on a slate roof. Call for more information).
Custom snow rail is offered by few companies, but this is Sno Shield's specialty. Any deck mount can be lengthened or shortened to meet the specific needs of the roof. This is not available for small projects, but any projects that require 150 or more deck mounts, we can do it.
The single pipe Sno Shield Snow Rail Deck Mount is a pad-style snow fence used for light snow retention. It is a continuous one pipe style snow guard system that help prevent rooftop avalanches off of metal roofs (standing seam metal roofs, or non-standing seam metal roofs) or shingled roofs.
